Today Abigail gave notice of a motion condemning the Coalition for their refusal to shut down the cruel greyhound racing industry.

Fresh regulations made under the new anti-protest laws have made it a crime, punishable by up to 2 years in jail, to take part in or organise a protest at Town Hall that blocks any of the entrances to the train station.

After a long debate, the Government unfortunately passed their draconian anti-protest laws with support from the Labor Party. The Greens fought to the very end for the right to protest, and will continue to fight for this fundamental democratic right.

Draconian anti-protest laws have been rammed through NSW Parliament in less than 48 hours by the Coalition Government with the support of Labor and the conservative crossbench.  

Abigail called on the Government to provide a public specialist mental health service for women, including specialist trauma informed mental health services, and more funding for frontline women's services.

Abigail demanded transparency from the Minister for Roads, questioning whether the Government received any external legal advice before ramming through anti-protest laws.
