Today in Parliament, Abigail gave notice of a motion condemning the Minns Labor Government's ongoing support of the barbaric and cruel greyhound racing industry in light of the recent Million Dollar Chase race at the deadly Wentworth Park track.
Equality Bill passes into law!
Today the Equality Bill passed NSW Parliament! Abigail contributed to debate during the bill's second reading debate, speaking about how far we still have to go and reaffirming the Greens commitment to fight alongside the queer community to achieve equality and liberation for ALL in the queer community.
We will not stop fighting for full sex worker rights and protections
Abigail tried to bring back amendments to the Equality Bill in relation to critical sex worker rights and protections, which were stripped from the original version of the bill after Labor refused to support them.

Today in Parliament, Labor and the Coalition voted down Abigail's Greens motion calling on both the State and Federal Labor governments to recognise that nature positive cannot be achieved without immediately halting native forest logging and ceasing the subsidising and approval of activities by fossil fuel companies that are harming Australia's fragile ecosystems.

3 October 2024 Following the recent and sudden collapse of Community Transport Central Coast Limited (CTCC), 70 workers have had their jobs disrupted with no guarantee of reinstatement by the new operator. This afternoon, Central Coast based Greens MLC Abigail Boyd has written to the Minister for the Central Coast, the Minister for Transport and the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, calling on them to require the new service operator, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Transport, to provide preference of employment to all ex-CTCC workers.
