Protect Animals from Cruelty

Animals are sentient beings that feel joy, fear and pain. But for too long, animals in NSW have been without the protection they deserve from cruelty and exploitation.

In 2020, the NSW Upper House held an Inquiry into our animal cruelty laws, which found that not only does the law need drastic overhaul, but the Government needs to commit to properly funding the investigation and prosecution of animal abusers, and must establish an Independent Office of Animal Welfare to oversee the enforcement of animal cruelty laws in our state.
