BAN ENGINEERED STONE

Luxury benchtops are causing the premature deaths of thousands of workers in NSW and across the world.

Over 105,000 workers in Australia have been diagnosed with silicosis from workplace related exposure and will likely lose their lives as a result.

Current regulatory and enforcement mechanisms have not and cannot adequately protect workers from exposure to crystalline silica and the death sentence that is silicosis. The Greens have been leading the call for an urgent ban on engineered stone in NSW for years and an end to the tragic and preventable silicosis epidemic.

The NSW Government must support a ban on manufactured stone and prevent silica exposure for workers in NSW.

Call on the Labor Government to protect workers and ban engineered stone!
