Webinar: Western Sydney's AI Data Centre Boom

Online community forum: Western Sydney's AI Data Centre Boom

Monday 28 September 2026 | 7pm to 8pm

Western Sydney is fast becoming home to more and more hyperscale AI data centres - just recently the NSW government has given the green light to a development in Marsden Park which is set to be the biggest data centre in the Southern Hemisphere.

NSW is already home to over 100 data centres, with even more under construction or in planning. Data centres consume massive amounts of energy, water and land, and around the world are impacting seriously on communities where they are located. Communities are uniting in the fight for stronger controls that put people and planet first, before big tech profits.

Join an online community forum unpacking what the data centre boom actually means for Western Sydney - what these projects are for, how they get approved, who benefits and who bears the impacts.

Hear from a panel of community representatives, experts and advocates, and ask the questions you want answered.

All members of the community are welcome to attend this free event.
