Big tech’s AI and data centre boom is the new extractive industry. At this critical moment, governments are choosing big tech and fossil fuel industries over community health, safety and wellbeing, and locking us into a fossil fuel intensive, climate-disastrous future.
What we need is a moratorium on AI data centre developments, and a plan that puts communities and our planet first.
