Today in Parliament, Abigail gave notice of a motion condemning the NSW and Federal Labor Governments for claiming to protect the environment while prioritising corporate interests, delaying conservation efforts, and relying on flawed carbon credit schemes instead of halting logging and fossil fuel projects.

Today in Parliament, Abigail gave notice of a motion marking the second year of the Israeli Government's genocidal campaign in Gaza and called on the Australian Government to end military exports and impose sanctions until Israel halts the illegal occupation of Palestine.

Celebrating the International Day of Sign Languages

In light of the International Day of Sign Languages, Abigail passed a motion affirming the invaluable role of Auslan and Deaf interpreters, and calling on the government to stand in solidarity with interpreters striking for fair pay and conditions across the country.

MEDIA RELEASE: Central Coast community transport drivers deserve a fair go

3 October 2024 Following the recent and sudden collapse of Community Transport Central Coast Limited (CTCC), 70 workers have had their jobs disrupted with no guarantee of reinstatement by the new operator. This afternoon, Central Coast based Greens MLC Abigail Boyd has written to the Minister for the Central Coast, the Minister for Transport and the Minister for Regional Transport and Roads, calling on them to require the new service operator, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Transport, to provide preference of employment to all ex-CTCC workers.

Greens introduce new bill to protect against disability vilification in NSW

25 September 2024 Today Abigail introduced a Greens bill to expand our existing anti-vilification laws to protect people from disability from vilification and offensive behaviour. This is the first time a bill has been brought before NSW Parliament to introduce disability anti-vilification protections.
